This paring knife features an acute forward point with slightly recurved edge- a very nice shape for hand paring fruits and vegetables as well as light trimming and spot removal. The blade is made from 204 layers of "burl" pattern CruforgeV/15n20 steels.  The handle is of octagonal "wa" shape, featuring african blackwood with a striking sapwood streak, and a bolster of dyed spalted maple burl.
